We had a quick but nice overnight stay at Presnell’s RV Park and Marina in Port St. Joe. Perhaps the best $10 we’ve spent on this trip was to upgrade our spot to waterfront. Somehow we got lucky, with no prior planning we managed to pull into our spot, which was feet away from the gulf, with about 2 minutes to spare until sunset. After parking we quickly hopped out of the RV to take some pictures and enjoy the sunset.
By the time I grabbed my camera and tripod after dinner and the game, the clouds started rolling in. While those impacted shots of the milky way, they did add something to the photos I did end up taking.
The next day we were reminded that while we are on an RV adventure, we aren’t on vacation. Since it was Monday morning, instead of buying a tray of frozen shrimp and trying to catch whatever fish were plying local waters, we moved the RV to the boat storage area in the back lot and logged into work/school for the day. It’s still definitely worth it, but it was another reminder that we’re leaving a lot on the table during this trip in terms of experiences, although it wouldn’t be possible to do it any other way. Incidentally, the mosquitos living in Presnell’s boat and trailer back storage lot are the spawn of the devil and if weaponized could lead to total world domination.
This was our last overnight stay in Florida. Next stop, Louisiana!
